Outreach recap pt. 2 – Zimbabwe

Hey guys! I wanted to give you more videos from outreach in Africa! This one will finish off giving a more detailed and geographically comprehensible and chronological recap of Zimbabwe, our second half of outreach.

We flew in to the capital of Harare, Zimbabwe in the beginning of February and Don Desire picked us up and we drove six hours down to the district of Chivi in the south of the country.

We stayed in the village of Churungu for about a week, five days to be exact. There we stayed at a local pastors house, but we had to leave early because the local DA didn’t approve us to do evangelism.

Our adopted stray cat Nali named after the Malawian got sauce 😂

Next we went a couple hours to the northwest into the second biggest city in the country, Bulawayo. We stayed just outside the city and went into the city on the weekends, but we did evangelism in the outer areas of the city.

We stayed here for two weeks with the youth at the center and we absolutely loved it there!

The youth at the local church!
More of the youth!

After staying in Bulawayo, we moved back up to the capital of Harare for two and a half weeks with our host Shirley at her house. We did evangelism in the Epworth area of the city and got to go into the city on the weekends there too!

One of the schools we visited!
We got to sit in the back of a pickup truck!
It’s so difficult to balance things on your head
On top of God’s rock
I got to speak to the kids at church!
What a great group of kids
They follow the dance so well!
We got to make bricks!

So for the entirety of our five and a half weeks in Zimbabwe, we spent five days in Chivi, two weeks in Bulawayo, and two and a half weeks in Harare. it was an amazing time of growth and opportunities and I miss it there so much. I hope this helps make things a bit more clear and help you guys to join in the experience a bit. Love you all! Until next time. Hugs from Pelham, AL.
