Week 9

Hey guys I’m sorry this one is late! I hope you guys had a great week! Last week was crazy, so much happened.

Our topic was missions so the week was scheduled sort of like college classes with different mission topics like leadership, health, media and arts, and appropriate technology.

I have praying about what next steps God wants me to take after DTS and I feel like there are so many ways I can serve Him! I’m not sure yet about what I’m doing but missions week helped me to see that I don’t have to go to school for years to learn what it takes to meet basic needs of people in my own country and around the world.

We also had a night of worship on Wednesday night which was groundbreaking. As YP we all got together to pray and intercede for finances for our DTS and we saw $12,000 come in within 3 hours! It was such a great time of worshipping Him with reckless abandonment and just being fully dependent on God and seeking Him with everything we had. And at the end our friends from the Humility and Hunger DTS came and joined us in our worship and praise of God! Such a meaningful experience that I pray I and the rest can keep with us forever.

What our total needed was before and after worship and intercession

We did have a pretty big loss this week though. One of our fellow students had to go back to Korea after nine weeks due to some urgent and complicated issues that needed to be taken care of at home. We all miss him very much and YP isn’t the same without him but we’re still able to talk to him and pray for him. So our Africa team is now a team of 6 instead of our original 8 but I know God can still work through us if we stick together.

We are really starting to buckle down for outreach now which is exciting and we were taught one of the skits we will perform on outreach which was so beautifully made and powerful! I can’t wait to perform that skit on outreach.

And last but definitely not least, we went camping this weekend! We went down to Marybrook and stayed in cabins as a DTS! Our place was only across the street from the beach and we cooked and ate together which was so much fun! We went to the beach at night and swam in the pool between meals.

We also went for a day of sightseeing at Busselton which was a beautiful and crazy wavy beach! There we got to walk along the longest freestanding wooden pier (jetty) in the Southern Hemisphere 😂

but my favorite part is that I got to go pier jumping which was so exciting and fun!

Then we went straight from Busselton to Scarborough which was breathlessly beautiful! I couldn’t quite catch it but the strength of the water pouring over the rocks and splashing tens of feet into the air was such a privilege to see!

That’s it for this week, I’m sorry it’s late! I still love you all! Thank you so much for all the love and prayers, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it. Hugs from Perth!
