Week 7

Hello everyone! Welcome back!

This week was, as all other weeks have been, great! Caleb Brownhill, the son of the founders of YWAM Perth, came and talked about the Fear of the Lord which was so impactful.

I always thought that fear of God was being actually afraid or scared of Him, but actually it’s more of a deep reverence and respect for God and having a heart that breaks for what God’s does, which is sin. Hearing it so simply explained really helped me to grasp my head around the idea of it.

We had an amazing Friday class as well, we all were praying out and speaking out and on of our staff said God told her to stand on the chair and scream Jesus’ name, so she invited anyone who wanted to to do it with her. The entire class stood on their chairs and on the count of three we all screamed “Jesus!” As loud as we could and man did that bring a breakthrough in just desperation for Jesus and for his heart to touch us and shape us into more like who He is.it brought me to tears and I just wanted to cry out to God forever. And I think I will. Just not always standing on a chair and screaming 😂

On another note, we went on a day trip as an outreach team which was a blast. We went to Heirisson Island which is a wildlife reserve that people can visit, and we got to see and PET kangaroos! The land was so beautiful and exotic, I felt like I stepped into another world!

So cute!
I got to pet it!

We also went to Scarborough beach, and when I say the waves were crazy, I mean the only people in the water were either kite surfing or regular surfing. I’ve never experienced waves like that in my life, not even on the West Coast (that I can remember). But man was it fun! We had a floaty that we used to follow the current down the beach and tried to stay above the waves. A few of us got a lot of water and sand in our ears, nose, and eyes, but it was so fun!

Yeah, we made a human pyramid

Yup! So that was this week! As far as outreach goes, we don’t have everything set in stone yet so once everything is planned out I will let you guys know what’s up! God is working and I’m so excited for what else He has in store for me and the crew! I love you all so much! Thank you so much for the prayers and support, it’s greatly appreciated and I hope that these updates reflect that. Until next week! Time for me to sleep! Hugs from Perth!

  1. I couldn’t be more excited to hear what God is teaching you and doing in your life! You are such a joy to know, and I am sure the Lord will use you and the team mightily on your mission trip. It’s hard to believe that in one more week you will be one month away from more new adventures! Love ❤️ you forever, Grandma
