Week 3

I’m sorry it’s been so long, a full week, since my last post! I’ve been meaning to but haven’t had a lot of time.

Much has happened this past week. We know where we are going on outreach!! I’m going with the team to countries in Africa! We’re going to Malawi 🇲🇼, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼, and Botswana 🇧🇼!

We also had a very intense week of learning about repentance and forgiveness, and then actually repenting and forgiving! It was very freeing and challenging, and we learned a lot about God and ourselves this week.

I think my favorite thing from this week was learning that God accepts me in any state I’m in, no matter how dirty, but in order to spend time close to him, I have to get rid of my “dirt” and “take a shower” first by repenting and actually turning away from sin. And you have to keep doing that too, can’t just do it once! Yikes. It’s a good thing to know though.

We also all watched Toy Story 4 as a DTS which was great, kinda squished since there were 20 of us in a studio living room but that made it all the more interesting and fun!

I did get sick for a few days, feeling nauseous and dizzy, but I got some medicine and am feeling a lot better now, and am ready for week 4! I cannot believe that I’ve already been here a full three weeks. It’s flown by so fast, but I also feel like I’ve been here forever.
