Day 1

Okay I know it’s been a whole day, its been hard to connect to WiFi and get my phone set up. It’s been an amazing first day! I’ve only been here a full day and I am already feeling closer to my fellow DTS members. It was awkward for all of maybe an hour and they are all so nice, it was easy to begin to get closer to them.

I arrived after everyone went to sleep, but I caught a few hours of sleep before I got up this morning for breakfast and then church at Hillsong Perth, then lunch and a spicy ramen challenge which was fun! We took the bus into town to get some things and walk around and as I told the others I had been studying Korean and talked to them a bit, I’ve been designated the rough translator for the group 😂 (besides the three leaders and/or translators who actually are fluent in English and Korean). The meeting we had tonight was literally spoken in English with live translations to Korean and vice versa (depending on who was talking).

Tomorrow starts classes which I’m extremely excited about. I can’t wait to see what God does in this six months! Thank you all so much for your prayers and support!

Church!
